Six Things. In the Garden. On a Saturday.

For more about this weekly challenge, visit The Propagator Blog for the Participant’s Guide and links to many gardener’s SOS postings each week.

The Bad and the Sad

What to say? I’ve allowed this pecan tree to grow up between my neighbor’s house and mine, just six inches from my fence. Well, actually more like three. (I was hoping to block the view of their porch activities. . . a misguided idea). The fig tree in the garden has apparently died – the greenery you see is all bug-eaten weeds. And these poor, sad, sweet potatoes never saw earth this summer. Bad gardener! (slaps hands!)

Pretty Little Things

Happily, even bad gardeners still get to enjoy the beauty of Nature!

Last Gifts from the Garden

. . . and generous gifts from kind-natured plants!

Visitors

Welcome to them all. I don’t call names if I can help it.

Signs that Summer is Ending

Seed-time is my favorite! I must have been a bird in a previous life!

Getting Ready for Some Indoor Gardening

Feeling a strong urge to pot something up and move it indoors for the winter, and luckily we just moved offices into an area where I have a huge window with a view, for the first time in more than twenty years! I’m excited!
